The gatehouse

This beautiful gate house was situated within the grounds of a listed farmhouse.

The client had previously consulted other  designers but had not yet found the right idea for the garden.

Our solution was to keep things simple.

The outstanding view was the key to this garden. It created an amazing feeling of space and tranquillity.

We took our design inspiration from the geometry of the house itself reflecting it in the pattern of the patio.

We used quartzitic sandstone and reclaimed granite setts as their neutral colour beautifully complimented  the white walls and black slate roof of the building.
