This small courtyard was constructed on a limited budget.

Our brief was to create an interesting small courtyard that had a sense of movement.

We employed the use of standard sandstone setts, which were softened by tumbling them in a mixer.

These radiated outward from a hardwood decking circle and a sandstone circle.

A small curved retaining wall was constructed out of existing bricks and a box hedge was used to create a feeling of intimacy and structure.
